10 analyzes in the 200 LARGEST AND SUCCESSFUL edition

Dear readers, the prestigious edition of 200 LARGEST AND SUCCESSFUL in R. of North Macedonia contains several lists and divisions of the companies according to different criteria. In the following article, we present a few of them.

1. The economy in R. of North Macedonia

In general, the current economic situation in the country is presented, with several economic indicators.

The current economic image in the country is presented by six economic parameters, such as:

- Gross domestic product

- Inflation

- Industrial production

- Foreign trade

- Tourism and

- Labor and wages

2. 200 Largest companies

The ranking of the 200 largest companies in R. of North Macedonia is made according to their total revenue achieved for 2021.

In addition to the data of the total revenue of these companies, the growth of the revenue in % for 1 year, as well as the profit before income tax and the average number of employees for 2021 is shown.

3. 200 Successful companies

The ranking of the 200 successful companies in R. of North Macedonia is made according to their total profit before income tax achieved for the year 2021.

In addition to the figure for total profit before income tax, the profit growth in % for 1 year, their total revenue and the average number of employees for 2021 is also shown.

4. Largest and successful Banks for the year

For this year, there are 13 active banks that were registered in the country according to NBRM.

The ranking of the largest banks is made according to their capital and reserves, and the ranking of the successful banks according to profit before tax.

5. Largest and successful Insurance companies for the year

This year, there are 16 active insurance companies that were registered in the country according to ASO, of which 5 are life insurance companies and 11 are non-life insurance companies.

The ranking of the largest insurance companies is made according to the gross written premium, and the most successful insurance companies according to the profit before income tax.

6. Fastest growing companies

We have prepared a comparison of the profit from the companies in relation to the past year, as well as in relation to 5 years ago. With this, we see which companies have the highest percentage of growth in profit, that is, which companies are the most profitable in the period of the analysis.

7. Largest employers

The top 50 largest employers from the 200 largest and 200 successful companies for 2021 are also presented, according to the average number of employees for 2021, with which a comparison can be made with the number of employees from previous years, and thus you can see how the workforce has moved, in these times of economic and energetic crisis.

8. Largest and most successful companies by industry

In this year’s edition, the 200 largest and 200 successful companies are sorted according to their industries. Here we can see which industries were more and which were less profitable for 2021. They are grouped by sector and department according to the national classification of industries.

9. Territorial representation

We have presented the territorial representation of the 200 largest companies for 2021, in percentages, according to the share of the total number of companies and according to the share of the total revenue; and the territorial representation of the 200 successful companies for 2021, according to the share of the total number of companies and the share of the profit.

10. Comparison with the countries of the region

A comparison was made with the countries of the region according to the total revenue and the profit before income tax. More specifically, shown are the 50 largest and successful companies from Republic of Croatia and 50 largest and successful companies from Republic of Slovenia, with their total revenue and profit before income tax, as well as their activity.
