In that context, AD Makedonski Telekom has been working dedicatedly for several years on campaigns focused on reducing hate speech on the internet and increasing safety among young people.

Hate speech online is one of the biggest challenges today that affects everyone, especially young people.

As the generation that spends the most time online, they are the most exposed to hate speech and online peer violence.

According to UReport research, as many as 24% of young people who have access to the internet have felt unsafe online at least once in the last year.

"It is a phenomenon of modern society that is causing increasing concern and problems for young people, but also for their parents, guardians and educators. And we have a responsibility to make a positive change, to participate in creating a safe online space," the company emphasizes .

AD Makedonski Telekom is successfully implementing this campaign by giving a voice to more young people to fight against violence and encourage creative and positive change.

The initiative is part of a long-standing partnership between the Telecom for Macedonia Foundation and UNICEF, which aims to involve children and youth in addressing some of the biggest challenges facing their generation.

#GreenMagenta – Environmental Responsibility Label

Another extremely important project that AD Makedonski Telekom implemented in 2023 is the campaign for the collection of old mobile phones and the restoration of areas that have been affected by large forest fires in the last few years.

The company managed to collect around 16,000 old mobile phones, and at the end of the year, in a joint reforestation campaign in which over 100 volunteers and Telekom employees participated, new trees were planted to restore the green belt in the eastern region.
