MAKSTIL - regional leader in the production of hot-rolled heavy playes

The company Makstil AD Skopje was established in 1997 from the restructuration of the Government owned "Rudnici i Železarnica Skopje"

2022 was a very successful year for Makstil. They managed to take the 19th place on the list of the largest and the 12th place on the list of the most successful companies in Macedonia.

Consequently, we can notice that they have an increase not only in the total revenue, but also in the total profit before taxation. Thus, compared to the previous year, they managed to increase their total revenue by 54.91% and their profit before tax by 27.05%.

Makstil is a secondary steel producer obtaining its steel mainly from scrap. It has a typical capacity of near 350.000 tonnes HRP per annum.It is comprised of one Steel Shop and one Hot Rolling Mill.

Makstil commitment to continuous improvement of the health and safety of their employees is their top priority, which contributes to the achievement of the company's goals.

At Makstil, improving safety is of great importance. The company has an established occupational health and safety management system, which serves as an effective approach to the management and continuous elimination of hazards and minimization of risks.

In 2020, Makstil was also awarded the award for "Best practice of safety and protection at work".
