The company was founded in 1972 as a representative office in Skopje, and later in 1991 it was fully privatized and it was one of the first companies that were privatized in Macedonia at that time.

For Pekabesko, every year is a special story of success with numerous innovations and investments for the needs of the increased volume of work. Ever since 2003, when for the first time the companies in Macedonia were ranked according to total income and profit before tax, Pekabesko entered the list of the largest ranked as the 56th company with a total income of MKD 894 million and since then it has been slowly but surely climbing the path of the success. From the following year, it is already part of the most successful companies in 191st place with a pre-tax profit of MKD 14 million.

During these 20 years, we notice a positive, growing trend according to both criteria, that is, not only according to profit and income, but also according to the number of employees in Pekabesko AD.

The company also ended 2022 very successfully with an increase in revenues to MKD 5.4 billion, i.e. by 10.35% and profit before taxation to MKD 114.7 million, i.e. by 30.47% compared to 2021.

The number of employees, which in 2003 was 154, has increased to 459 in 2022, which represents an almost 200% increase in Pekabesko's workforce.
