Energy efficiency education starts with the youngest

For a period of about 10 years, EVN has been implementing a program to educate the youngest about the origin, meaning, and proper and safe use of electricity.

Through educational workshops, interactive teaching methods, and appropriate monitoring tools, children from a large number of Macedonian schools had the opportunity to learn more about the sources and types of energy used in homes.

Also, special emphasis was placed on the safe and reasonable use of energy.

The school project, over the ten years of its existence, has included around 40,000 children from 352 schools, and 65 clubs have been established in 42 municipalities.

In addition to investing in the education of the youngest, EVN Macedonia also implemented an energy efficiency platform, which was equally intended to raise awareness among adults.

The platform included a series of educational activities for users to increase the implementation of energy efficiency in their homes and businesses.

In addition to the large number of seminars, workshops, events and educational posts via social media, the company also created two educational shows titled "Energy Alphabet" and "Energy Mathematics".

The last individual multimedia educational project that EVN implemented was the campaign "Energy is worth it - it should be saved."

Exhibition Center "Matka"

Visitors can learn more about energy, its history, production, transmission and use through modern interactive props and methods.

The energy crisis of 2022 was very enlightening, both for citizens who suffered the consequences through increased energy prices, and for companies in the energy sector who faced losses and operational problems.

Investing in renewable energy sources was something that North Macedonia needed to implement as soon as possible in order to mitigate, but also to deal with, the effects caused by import dependence, in a world in which political and economic circumstances began to change turbulently.

But it is clear that exploiting nature and investing in its safety and protection are two things that go hand in hand and are inseparable.

EVN remains the largest electricity supplier in North Macedonia

After the energy crisis the country faced the previous year, caused by excessive import dependence and external influences, 2023 marked a turning point in the operations of companies in the energy sector .

EVN ended 2023 with a total revenue of 5,239,035,750 denars .

The company recorded a revenue growth of 34.53 percent , which was a great success, considering that in the previous year, EVN recorded a revenue decrease of 85.86 percent.

Additionally, the growth in pre-tax profit in 2023 was 564.93 percent .

In terms of rankings of 200 LARGEST AND SUCCESSFUL, the company saw a jump of 19th places on the most successful list and a jump of 55th places on the largest companies list.
