We elaborate on an analysis of the movement of the total income and the profit before tax in the last 10 years for the companies of this activity below.

Namely, from the graph we can see that despite the occasional declines in some of the years, both income and profit have a growing trend.

The analysis follows the companies since 2012, when the total income was MKD 8.5 billion, and the profit before tax was MKD 458 million. From then until 2020, when the world is gripped by the covid crisis, this activity is constantly on the rise. In 2020, there is a big decrease in both criteria, i.e. total revenues decreases from MKD 28.9 billion to even MKD 20.6 billion, while the profit from MKD 2.5 billion in 2019 decreases to MKD 1.7 billion in 2020.

However, despite the fact that during the covid period most of the companies involved in gambling and betting had limitations in their operations, from 2021 they are improving their results again and almost returning to the success of before the crisis. Thus, in 2021, the total revenues rose again to MKD 27.1 billion, and the profit before tax to MKD 2.3 billion.

The companies that operate within this activity and which are ranked on the lists of 200 LARGEST AND MOST SUCCESSFUL almost every year are: Princess Hotel and Casino and Makoten from Gevgelija, Flamingo, Ma Gaming, Delta Bet, Senator, Masterbet, Zlatna Kopacka, Apex MK, Sport-Life, Bet Tu Mar, Pro-Betting, Betcity, State Lottery, State Video Lottery and Casinos Austria International from Skopje and Club Sport 77 from Bitola.

The number of employees employed by these companies exceeds 3000 people, as of the end of 2022.
