Porta Skopje by Adora: A New Urban Landmark in the Heart of Skopje

A new urban story is unfolding in Skopje – Porta Skopje, a project set to revive a forgotten part of the city and transform it into a modern, green, and vibrant space that inspires.

In the heart of the Center Municipality, a transformative project is taking shape – Porta Skopje, developed by Adora Engineering. This ambitious initiative aims to revitalize the forgotten Krnjevo zone and turn it into a modern, green, and human-centred space for living and working.

From Neglected Zone to Urban Oasis

For years, the parcel at 1 Belasica Street stood as a symbol of urban neglect – used as an illegal parking lot and filled with waste. As the landowner for over two decades, Adora maintained the site regularly, demonstrating a commitment to the community long before construction began.

With the Porta Skopje project, more than 33,000 m² will soon host 193 modern residential units (initially 300 were planned, but the number was reduced for more comfortable living), commercial spaces, 317 parking spots, and 408 bicycle spaces — a first of its kind in the country. The project has been carefully designed in accordance with all urban planning and legal regulations.

Adora Engineering – A Name Synonymous with Trust and Quality

With over 20 years of experience in construction, energy, pharmaceuticals, and hospitality, Adora is more than just an investor — it’s a brand that builds with heart. Having received more than 100 domestic and international awards, Adora remains committed to its vision: creating spaces where people live, grow, and feel safe.

An Investment Driving Development and Green Solutions

Porta Skopje represents a €100 million investment that will generate hundreds of jobs and engage Macedonian companies at every stage of the project. Notably, Adora plans to dedicate 20% of the area to green spaces, demonstrating a strong commitment to sustainable urban development.

Meeting Challenges with Transparency and Determination

Despite some media attacks and misinformation, Adora stays focused on its mission — to transform a neglected site into the new urban heart of Skopje. The company calls for equal treatment of domestic investors and adherence to legal procedures as the foundation of fair and successful development.

Porta Skopje is more than an architectural endeavour — it is a symbol of new energy in Skopje and a future we are building today. With this project, Adora once again proves its ability to unite vision, responsibility, and urban aesthetics into a functional and welcoming living space.
