One of the analyzes in the 200 LARGEST AND SUCCESSFUL edition includes a ranking of companies according to their activities. The companies are divided into main categories and subcategories of activities, according to the National Classification of Activities.

The list of the most successful companies from the telecommunications subcategory included: Makedonski Telekom AD Skopje, A1 MAKEDONIJA DOOEL and ROBI DOOEL Shtip.

Makedonski Telekom AD Skopje (abbreviated AD Makedonski telekomunikacii) is the largest trading company for telecommunications in Macedonia, with headquarters in Skopje. The high ranking of the company in the 200 largest and most successful companies is inevitable. The company, founded on January 1, 1997, is part of the Magyar Telecom Group, which is a fully consolidated subsidiary of the international Deutsche Telekom Group. For 2021, they were ranked 10th among the largest and 4th among the most successful companies in Macedonia.

Makedonski Telekom, together with other European subsidiaries of Deutsche Telecom, is involved in an eco initiative to reduce electronic waste and invest in the restoration of the natural habitat in Europe! By joining forces and participating in the global #GreenMagenta initiative, their goal is to collect one million old electronic devices by 2024.

A1 MAKEDONIJA is a telecommunications company, focused on creating and offering offers for convergent and sophisticated digital solutions, which satisfy the communication needs, not only of resident and business users, but also of every modern family.

For 2021, A1 sees an increase in their total revenue and also in their total pre-tax profit. Namely, the increase in the revenue compared to 2020 is 9.32%, while the increase in the profit before taxation is a significant 16.07%.

In 2022, A1 began building its 5G network, which allows reaching speeds of 1Gbps for mobile data transmission. A1 is intensively working on expanding the 5G network coverage all over the country, and currently it covers the urban part of the city of Skopje.

ROBI DOOEL
The third most successful telecommunications operator in 2021 is TRD Robi DOOEL, i.e. Telekabel, which in 2021 managed to increase its income and profit before taxation, and did not fall behind even with the number of employees, which reached 250 employees.

In fact, ROBI DOOEL recorded an increase in total revenue of 5.65% and a growth in total profit before tax of 13.87%. Also, this represents the 15th year in a row that Telekabel is on the list of the 200 most successful companies in Macedonia.

Since 2018, an optical network has been intensively installed in the cities where Telekabel operates, with users connecting with an optical cable to their homes. TELEKABEL services are currently offered in 17 cities in Macedonia. Full coverage with its own network includes Shtip, Bitola, Veles, Strumica, Kavadarci, Kochani, St. Nikole, Skopje, Radovish, Negotino, Prilep, Ohrid, Gevgelija, Probishtip, Delchevo, Valandovo and Kichevo.
