If 2022 brought a series of turbulences and crises in the energy sector in North Macedonia, the following year, 2023, brought stabilization of the market and an upward movement of companies in the energy market.

Thanks to key and capital investments in the energy sector, i.e. investments in renewable energy sources, North Macedonia for the first time that year almost completely managed to secure its own electricity needs and reduce import dependence to a minimum.

EVN Macedonia in 2023 achieved a total revenue of 5,239,035,750 denars .

The company recorded a revenue growth of 34.53 percent , which was a great success, considering that in the previous year, EVN recorded a revenue decrease of 85.86 percent.

Additionally, the growth in pre-tax profit in 2023 was 564.93 percent.

In terms of rankings, the company saw a jump of 19th places on the most successful list and a jump of 55th places on the largest companies list.

In 2023, the company ranked 53rd in the   list of the Largest and 4th place among the most successful companies in the country , unlike the previous year when it was ranked 72nd on the list of the largest and 59th on the list of the most successful companies.

Proof of this is the large number of projects and events over the years, as well as the large number of recognitions and awards for Social Responsibility that the company has received.

The company had an average of around 218 employees in 2023, and for years EVN has been synonymous with good treatment of employees and investment in their safety.

This is especially important, considering that the company is largely faced with a specific activity that involves high risk.

In order to improve the conditions for employees, EVN Macedonia is investing in a modern training center that covers an area of 2,500 m ² of outdoor space and 550 m ² of indoor space in Makedonski Brod.

It is here that the company's employees are trained and prepared for all the challenges they may face in the future in their daily work.

In addition, EVN opens its doors to the children of its employees once a year. As part of the project "With Children at Work", about 200 children each year have the opportunity to spend 8 hours in their parents' offices, participate in educational workshops, conduct experiments, socialize and have fun. The children also have the opportunity to visit the "Matka" exhibition center.

The "EVN Volunteers" program, which began in the summer of 2017, envisages mobilizing company employees in the implementation of projects to improve the quality of life in local communities.

The goal of the program is twofold – encouraging volunteerism in the country and the volunteer spirit among employees, but also contributing to society.

The company is also a signatory to the Principles for the Empowerment of Women, a global initiative of UN Women and the UN Global Compact to advance gender equality and the empowerment of women in the workplace, the marketplace and in communities, and has also developed a Code of Conduct within the company that defines and summarizes the principles and guidelines that are the basis for responsible behavior for people with integrity.
