The pharmaceutical industry in Macedonia demonstrated strong performance in 2022, with several key players leading in both revenue generation and profitability. This analysis delves into the financial outcomes of these companies, providing insights into their economic impact and market positioning.

In 2022, the Macedonian pharmaceutical sector was dominated by a mix of local and international companies, each contributing significantly to the industry’s overall revenue and profitability.

ZEGIN DOO, Skopje emerged as the leader in terms of revenue, reporting a substantial 5,006,910,783 MKD. Despite the high revenue, its profit before tax was relatively modest at 24,061,869 MKD, indicating high operational costs or substantial reinvestments into the business.

MAKEDONIJALEK DOO, Skopje also reported impressive revenues of 4,036,780,331 MKD with a significantly higher profit before tax of 93,033,721 MKD. This suggests a more efficient cost management strategy compared to its competitors.

EURO-FARM DOOEL, Bitola achieved a notable revenue of 3,235,525,934 MKD and a profit before tax of 55,370,046 MKD, showcasing its solid market presence and operational efficiency.

In terms of profitability, GALINOS FARM DOO, Ilinden stands out with a profit before tax of 164,608,170 MKD from a total revenue of 329,685,519 MKD. This remarkable profit margin highlights its effective business strategies and potentially lower operational costs.
