IGM-TRADE the most successful Macedonian company in 2021

IGM-TRADE is on the list of 200 largest and most successful since the beginning of the edition, more precisely since 2003.

IGM-Trade is an export-oriented company with 95% of the total production sold outside Macedonia, on the EU and CEFTA markets. Their highly motivated and experienced sales team is trained to work closely with their production department to ensure fast production, prompt delivery and a high degree of customer satisfaction. They work hard to meet the strict quality requirements of their customers.

Their secondary activity includes the processing of steel coils into sheets and strips with plans to further develop the capabilities of their in-house service center.

The production takes place according to the internationally recognized production and quality standards ISO 9001:2008.

For the year 2021, IGM managed to take 11th place on the list of LARGEST companies, ranked according to their total revenue, and 2nd place on the list of MOST SUCCESSFUL companies, ranked according to their total profit before tax. Since it is a company with 100% domestic capital, IGM-Trade is actually the most successful Macedonian company for 2021.

Accordingly, we can note that IGM-TRADE has a significant increase in both income and pre-tax profit. In fact, compared to 2020, they recorded a growth in total revenue of 68.05% and a growth in total profit before tax of a significant 246.45%.

At the end of 2015, IGM-Trade expanded its operations outside of Macedonia by purchasing the former ALPOS, a factory for welded steel pipes and profiles located in Šentjur, Slovenia. This investment offers many technological, logistical and marketing benefits and allows the company to increase its presence in EU markets and better serve its customer base in Western Europe. Production started in 2017 with a capacity of 100,000 tons per year.

In December 2022, it was announced that the owner of IGM-TRADE Ilija Gechev became the first billionaire in Macedonia. Namely, the Serbian Nedelnik published a list of the richest 100 in the Balkans, which includes as many as 18 billionaires, and one of them is the owner of IGM Trade from Kavadarci, Ilija Gechev. With a fortune worth one billion and 54 million euros, Gechev is in 18th place on the list of the richest people in the Balkans.
