Komunalna Higiena, another state-owned enterprise that operates successfully and ranks among the 200 largest and most successful companies.
The beginnings of the company date back to the beginning of the twentieth century, that is, from 1906 when only a few people were in charge of sweeping the streets. Over time, according to the needs, the obligations changed and increased, and later a company was founded.
JP Komunalna Higiena is one of the largest enterprises in the communal activity in Macedonia and operates in the urban and rural part of the city of Skopje. The daily activities of the company include collection of waste and its transport and maintenance of hygiene on public and traffic areas in the city.
In the 200 LARGEST AND SUCCESSFUL Komunalna Higiena has been present since the very beginning of the project in 2003, and in 2021 it ranks 172nd on the list of the largest according to total income of MKD 1,314,385,592.00. As of December 2021, the company employs 1398 people, which is by far the highest number of employees we have seen in the past 20 years.
