200 LARGEST AND SUCCESSFUL ranks these insurance companies by gross written premium and pre-tax profit in 2022. In this blog post, we publish separately the companies that deal with life and those that deal with non-life insurance.

In the non-life insurance sector, the company Triglav AD is by far the largest with realized gross premium of MKD 1.5 billion. After her, in second place is Unika AD with 25.23% less realized premium in the amount of MKD 1.135 billion. The third place belongs to Eurolink Insurance AD with a premium of MKD 1.125 billion, i.e. 0.85% less than Unika AD. Sava Insurance is in 4th place with a premium of MKD 1.073 billion, and in 5th place is Makedonija Osiguruvanje with MKD 981 million in realized gross premium.

Non-life insurance companies have a total of MKD 10.5 billion in gross policy premium in 2022, and this includes 11 companies. The number of people working in the non-life insurance sector is 1710 people in total, of which the largest part, as many as 242, are employed by Sava Insurance.

At the same time, Sava Insurance takes the first place as the most successful insurance company for 2022, with a realized profit before tax of MKD 112.8 million. Then follows AD Osiguritelna Polisa with MKD 104.2 million, Eurolink Insurance with MKD 97.4 million profit, Euroins Insurance with MKD 60.5 million and Triglav Insurance as the 5th most successful company with a profit of MKD 47.7 million.

In terms of life insurance companies, where 5 companies are counted, the largest is Croatia Insurance AD - life with MKD 719.7 million in gross policy premium. The second place belonged to Grave AD - life, with a premium of MKD 504.3 million, while the third place was taken by Winner Life Insurance Group AD with a profit of MKD 399.7 million.

The list of the first companies and according to the profit looked the same, so Croatia Insurance AD was also the most successful insurance company in the life insurance section, with a profit of MKD 101.4 million, Grave AD also takes the second place here with MKD 93.9 million profit, and Winner Life Insurance Group remains in third place with MKD 29.5 million in profit before tax.

In 2022, the life insurance companies achieved a total of MKD 2.3 billion in gross policy premium, while the total amount of profit before tax was MKD 251.6 million. In terms of employment, 195 people were employed within these 5 companies in the analyzed year.
