Analysis of employment across the largest companies in North Macedonia in 2025, highlighting workforce concentration, leading employers, and industrial structure within a combined dataset of top-ranked companies.

The analysis is based on a combined base of approximately 302 companies, which includes the largest companies by revenue and the most successful companies by pre-tax profit. Due to overlapping rankings, the result represents a broader corporate universe, rather than a strictly segregated list of 200 companies.

The total total employment in this base is 98,601 employees in 2025.

The combined group of companies represents a significant part of the formal economy and labor market in North Macedonia.

The total number of employees is: 98,601 employees .

This number confirms the role of the largest corporate systems as key carriers of stable and formalized employment in the country.

Employment concentration

The analysis shows a pronounced concentration of the workforce in a small number of large companies.

The top 10 largest employers employ a total of: 25,260 people .

This represents approximately: 25.6% of total employment in the combined base .

This data indicates that a quarter of all jobs are concentrated in just ten companies, which highlights the high dependence on a few large corporate systems.
