Financial analysis of EMSHA SPED DOOEL Negotino for the period 2020-2024: revenue, profit, operational efficiency and the company's position in the international transport sector.
EMSHA SPED Negotino - financial analysis of the transport company that increases profitability despite reduced revenues

Road transport is one of the most dynamic, but also the most unpredictable, economic sectors. In recent years, the sector has faced rising fuel prices, a shortage of professional drivers, higher fleet maintenance costs and disruptions in European supply chains. In such conditions, the financial performance of transport companies depends not only on how many kilometers their vehicles travel or how much revenue they generate, but also on how efficiently they manage each transport.

The financial indicators of EMSHA SHPED DOOEL Negotino for the period 2020–2024 show exactly that. Although revenues are not growing continuously, the company manages to improve profits and maintain stability in a sector where profit margins are traditionally limited.

Revenues stabilize, profits reach highest level

In 2020, EMSHA SPED generated revenues of 1.17 billion denars , in a situation where the transport sector was strongly affected by the pandemic and restrictions on international traffic.

Already in 2021, the company recorded growth of 6.6% , reaching 1.24 billion denars , while profit before tax increased by almost 40% , to 126.9 million denars .

Although revenue data is not available for 2022, profit remains almost identical to the previous year, indicating stable performance despite significantly more complex conditions in the European transport market.

In 2023, revenues reach 1.26 billion denars , the highest level in the analyzed period, while profits remain stable at 125.9 million denars .

The most interesting result is in 2024. Although revenues decreased by 12.14% , to 1.11 billion denars , profit before tax grew by 33.3% and reached 167.8 million denars , which is the highest financial result in the last five years.

Such a combination is relatively rare and may indicate better capacity utilization, optimization of operational processes, and more efficient cost management.

The profit margin sends an even clearer message

When profit is analyzed in relation to revenue, the financial picture becomes even more interesting.

Year Revenue (billion MKD) Profit (million MKD) Profit / Income
2020 1.17 90.9 7.8%
2021 1.24 126.9 10.2%
2022 / 126.7 /
2023 1.26 125.9 10.0%
2024 1.11 167.8 15.1%

The profit margin in 2024 is by far the highest in the analyzed period. In an industry where high revenues are often achieved with low margins, such an improvement indicates that the company has not only focused on the volume of work, but also on its profitability.

For investors and analysts, it is a more important indicator than revenue growth itself.

Fewer employees, higher efficiency

At the same time, a gradual decrease in the average number of employees is observed.

The company had:

§   123 employees in 2020;

§   121 in 2021;

§   112 in 2023;

§   96 in 2024.

This represents a decrease of more than 20% compared to the beginning of the period.

By itself, a reduction in the number of employees does not represent a positive or negative signal. In combination with profit growth, however, it may indicate higher productivity, better organization of transport operations, or a change in the operating model.

Especially in the transportation sector, where digital route planning, optimization of empty kilometers, and better utilization of the fleet directly impact the financial result, such changes can significantly improve efficiency.

A company that grew organically

EMSHA SPED was founded in 1999 with just one freight vehicle. Today, the company has its own fleet and works with a wide network of contract carriers, providing transport throughout most of Europe.

Such organic development is characteristic of some Macedonian transport companies that have gradually built their position through long-term partnerships, rather than through aggressive acquisitions or rapid expansion.

The focus on international transport, ADR certificates, CMR insurance and wide geographical coverage allow the company to remain competitive in the European market, where reliability and on-time delivery often weigh more heavily than price.

The quality of income becomes more important than its volume

The financial results of EMSHA SHPED show that success in the transport sector is not measured solely by revenue growth. In the analyzed period, the company demonstrated the ability to improve profitability even in conditions when revenues are under pressure, which indicates greater operational discipline and better resource management.

In an industry that remains exposed to price shocks, regulatory changes, and labor shortages, it is precisely this kind of financial resilience that can represent one of the most significant competitive advantages.
