Renewable Energy Supply, RES DOOEL Skopje is a company that was established in 2022 and offered the Macedonian economy salvation from high electricity bills and market unpredictability, which is why it easily takes its place among the 200 LARGEST AND SUCCESSFUL companies in North Macedonia.

Thanks to the competitive conditions offered on the liberal energy market, RES achieved outstanding results in one year of its existence and managed to rise to 40th place among the largest companies in North Macedonia and 57th place among the most successful companies in North Macedonia.

How did the RES offer salvation to the Macedonian economy?

At a time when the Macedonian economy was suffering great damage and was in uncertainty due to oscillations and spikes in electricity prices - RES offered a fixed price, stable electricity transmission and cost reduction.

While the world was still recovering from the corona crisis, the "icing on the cake" came the war in Ukraine, which brought with it increased prices for resources, such as oil and gas, and with it huge jumps in stock market prices for electricity.

This was a huge shock to the Macedonian economy.

Namely, our electricity prices during that period largely depended on electricity prices on the stock exchange, and when you depend on imports, you are not able to dictate things yourself, but rather others dictate them to you.

For North Macedonia, which at the time was in an energy crisis, the war in Ukraine meant even greater uncertainty and danger to the economy.

It was precisely in such unpredictable conditions that Renewable Energy Supply, RES, was formed as a company that united all smaller producers of electricity from renewable sources and managed to offer greater electricity capacity on the North Macedonian free electricity market .

With a clear idea and an innovative approach, focused on the future, RES found the solution to the crisis and offered large consumers a better option for electricity supply, i.e. it managed to meet the needs of the economy without forcing it to operate at a loss.

The management of large companies quickly realized that the solution that RES offers for the Macedonian economy in the long term is cost-effective and offers greater certainty and predictability, which contributed to the company's rise to the list of 200 LARGEST AND SUCCESSFUL companies in just one year of its existence.

In just a few months of their existence, a total of 40 companies in the Macedonian economy managed to save 2.8 million euros, compared to the amount they would have paid if they had procured electricity from other suppliers.

"40 companies, which chose the so-called combined package for electricity supply, in July, August and September   received electricity bills that were 15-30% higher on average lower compared to stock market prices.

RES guarantees these companies that 35% of the energy delivered will be at a fixed price and that it will not change regardless of the growth of the stock markets.

"This is the amount of electricity that RES provides from the renewable energy power plants of its founders, the Macedonian Central Invest owned by Kocho Angjushev and the Bulgarian Toki Power, as well as from other renewable energy producers from the Republic of North Macedonia who deliver the energy to RES," the RES statement reads.

In one year, RES became the leader in the energy market in North Macedonia

Today, a large number of large consumers in the Macedonian economy use electricity produced by photovoltaics, wind farms, and hydroelectric power plants in North Macedonia and Bulgaria.

This means that companies simultaneously save on electricity bills, but also contribute to preserving the environment by reducing harmful gas emissions and resource depletion.

"Our goal is to sell the majority of electricity production from renewable sources in the Republic of North Macedonia and as much of the electricity production from renewable sources in the Republic of Bulgaria to end users on the Macedonian market."

In today's unstable conditions on the electricity market with large price variations, only companies that have their own production can guarantee stability and security in the supply of electricity.

"RES offered the Macedonian economy exactly that - a stable supply of its own renewable energy sources," they state.

The company's success is also evidenced by the Annual Report of the Energy and Water Services Regulatory Commission for 2023 .

According to the information published in the aforementioned report, after just one year of its formation, RES ( Renewable Energy Supply ) alone held one third of the free market .

According to published information, most of the economy was supplied with electricity by this company, and the rest was shared by 20 other suppliers.

In 2023, RES sold 610,000 MWh of electricity, or 28.84% of total energy on the free market, while in the supply of large entities it held as much as 34% of the market.

In the same year, RES achieved a total income of 279,812,196 denars , and in one year, a growth in income of 75.76% was recorded.

In 2023, the company offered service to around 700 clients.

With the liberalization of the electricity market in North Macedonia, the economy has been given the opportunity to choose from which sources and at what price it will be supplied with electricity.

In times of crisis, RES was a lifesaver for the Macedonian economy, because it offered fixed prices, stable service, and quality. Something that many companies in North Macedonia had been eagerly awaiting for years.

Fixed electricity prices have made it easier for companies to set the prices of their products without facing losses caused by price shocks and high electricity bills.

Thanks to the fact that services are controlled from a single center, the quality of service and stable transmission are guaranteed for everyone, and North Macedonia has gained greater independence in terms of electricity supplies in a short period of time.

RES justifiably found itself on the list of 200 LARGEST AND SUCCESSFUL companies in North Macedonia.

They offered salvation to the Macedonian economy in times of crisis and contributed to easier overcoming the consequences of the major blow that our economy suffered from the corona crisis and the inflation caused by the war in Ukraine.
