The ranking of banks is carried out according to official financial data obtained from the Central Registry of N. Macedonia. The ranking of the largest banks is done according to the total capital and reserves, and the ranking of the most successful banks according to the total profit/loss before taxation.

We can notice that the first 5 banks in Macedonia for 2021 occupy the same place both on the list of the largest and on the list of the most successful.

In 2021, Stopanska Banka AD, Skopje was found as the number 1 ranked largest and most successful bank. It records total capital and reserves of 19,792,338,383 denars and total profit before taxation of 2,728,883,030 denars.

Immediately below them in the 2nd place among the largest and most successful banks is Komercijalna Banka AD, Skopje with realized total capital and reserves of 14,833,544,589 denars and total profit before taxation of 2,504,626,652 denars.

On the 3rd place on the list comes NLB Banka AD, Skopje, which for the 11th time has been named the best bank in Macedonia according to The banker magazine. They have realized capital and reserves of 14,069,606,685 denars and a total profit before taxation of 2,445,178,065 denars.
