As we can see from this year's edition of the 200 LARGEST AND SUCCESSFUL, the largest companies in R. of North Macedonia see an increase in their total revenue compared to the past 2020 year. Namely, the total revenue of the largest companies for 2021 was 870.153.425.550,00 MKD denars, while the total revenue of the largest companies in 2020 was 737.734.809.557,00 MKD denars.

With that, an increase of even 17.9% in total revenues is observed.

The average number of employees of the largest companies in relation to 2020 shows a slight decrease, which is not so unexpected, as we know in the conditions of the economic and energetic crisis. The average number of employees in 2020 was 92,000, while in 2021 it was 89,537.

In terms of which of the activities are presented in the edition, we can see that from the largest 10 companies, 3 are from the processing industry - JOHNSON MATTHEY DOOEL, Kromberg & Schubert Macedonia Bt DOOEL and EURONIKEL INDUSTRI DOO, then 3 are from the wholesale and retail trade industry - OKTA AD, MAKPETROL AD, and KAM DOO, 3 are from the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply industry - EVN HOME DOO, GEN-I PRODAZBA NA ENERGIJA DOOEL and AD ESM and 1 is from the information and communications industry - MAKEDONSKI TELEKOM AD, Skopje.

We can notice that the processing industry has the highest total income income (at 293,395,851,653.00 denars), where the company JOHNSON MATTHEY DOOEL, Skopje, is number 1 on the ranking list with a total revenue of 127,906,532,233.00 denars.

One of the companies that for the last few years has been listed at the top of the largest companies in R. of North Macedonia is Kromberg & Schubert Macedonia Bt DOOEL, Bitola.

The company has been present on the Macedonian market since 2013, when the factory for the production of electrical and electronic equipment for motor vehicles was opened, located in the Zhabeni industrial zone, near Bitola.

Today the company has 5368 employees and is the 2nd largest employer from the list of the largest and successful  in R. of North Macedonia. They are ranked 7th among the largest companies for 2021.

Another company that advances year by year in the ranks of the largest companies in R. of North Macedonia, and is from the industry of retail trade in non-specialized stores is KAM DOO, Ilinden.

This year they are in the 9th place among the largest companies, which is also their highest position so far, equaling the last year 2020.

In their numbers, we also note a significant growth in the revenue this past year, i.e. growth of 10.58% compared to 2020, as well as growth in the average number of employees from 1065 in 2020 to 1122 in 2021, which despite the conditions of the economic crisis, points us to exceptional success.

The 10th place on our list of LARGEST COMPANIES was taken by MAKEDONSKI TELEKOM AD, Skopje, a well-known company in R. of North Macedonia from the information and communications industry, which has been on the list of the LARGEST and also the MOST SUCCESSFUL since 2003, 19 years in a row.

The average number of employees in Makedonski Telekom for 2021 was 911.
