LARGEST AND MOST SUCCESSFUL INSURANCE COMAPNIES in Macedonia in 2022
According to Macedonian legislation, insurance companies are strictly divided into those that work with life and those that work with non-life insurance. In addition, the company that works with life does not have the right to work with non-life insurance - and vice versa.
In 2022, 16 insurance companies were operating on the insurance market in Macedonia.
The ranking of the insurance companies in Macedonia, in the 200 LARGEST AND SUCCESSFUL edition, is done according to the gross written premium and according to the profit before taxation.
Below we present you the 3 largest and most successful insurance companies in Macedonia for 2022.

TRIGLAV INSURANCE AD, Skopje, is in the first position, as the largest insurance company, according to the gross written premium, as it was last year. Triglav Insurance AD, Skopje as a company, has existed on the Macedonian market since 1968.
In 2022, they managed to increase their gross written premium and also their profit. Thus, they recorded a growth of 13.87% in the gross policy premium and a 42.04% growth in their profit before tax, compared to 2021.

The second place among the largest insurance companies belonged to UNIKA AD - Skopje. Leadership, teamwork and continuous training are key factors for the success of the UNIKA team in Macedonia. UNIKA also managed to increase its gross policy premium as well as their profit. Their profit for 2022 was 688.538 euros while in 2021 it was below zero. With that, Unika marks a very successful year and a return to the old paths.

Eurolink Insurance, Skopje, is in the 3rd place among the largest, but is the number 1 MOST SUCCESSFUL insurance company for 2022. EUROLINK INSURANCE AD Skopje is a non-life insurance company established in 2002 as a foreign direct investment with a founding capital of EUR 3.2 million. Eurolink was the most successful insurance company as well as in 2021, so with this year's ranking, they only confirmed their success and successful operation in the last few years.
