An analysis was made of the 200 most successful companies of 2021, which were ranked according to their total profit before tax.

As expected, the largest number of companies in Macedonia, which are on the list of the most successful companies, are actually located in Skopje. That is a total of 123 companies that made a total profit before taxation of 689.856.963 euros. They have employed a total of 33,698 people.

As the most successful company, JOHNSON MATTHEY DOOEL, which represents a foreign direct investment and is located in the industrial zone in Skopje, has been in first place for several years in a row now.

The difference is evident in the number of companies from other regions.

In the Vardar region, we note 11 companies and a total profit before taxation of 84.210.600 euros. The most successful company from this region was IGM-TRADE DOO, from Kavadarci, which has been on the list of 200 largest companies since 2003. Then follows the eastern region, which counts 11 companies that employ 8250 people. The first place as the most successful from this region is SASA DOOEL from Makedonska Kamenica.

Mermeren Kombinat AD Prilep as a leader in the extraction and processing of snow white marble is another very successful company from Macedonia. They come to us from the Pelagonian region as the most successful company and are frequent participants in the 200 "LARGEST  AND SUCCESSFUL" edition.

The southeast and southwest regions follow, with total profits of 44.375.406 and 21.924.914 euros, respectively. Next is the Poloski region with a total profit of 27.392.938 euros and the most successful company KIPPER MARKET DOO, which from year to year advances in its rank on the lists of the 200 largest and most successful.

In last place is the northeastern region with 4 companies and a total profit of 7.764.958 euros. 618 people are employed in these 4 companies, and the most successful company is METAL-NET DOOEL from Kumanovo.
