The largest employers in the period from 2018 to 2022

Another analysis from the data of the 200 LARGEST AND SUCCESSFUL in which we present the largest employers and the movement of the total number of employees in the 50 companies that were part of this list.

As can be seen in the graph shown below, the total number of employees among the 50 largest employers has a downward trend. Starting with nearly 68,000 employees in 2018, the number of total employed persons fell to 65,400 in 2022 despite a slight increase of 0.51% in 2021.


The same three companies appear as the largest employers in this analyzed period, only one of which is domestic and state-owned.


The largest number of employees is in the company Kromberg & Schubert Macedonia DOOEL from Bitola, which in 2022 had 6270 employees. In second place is another foreign direct investment located in Kavadarci, Drexlmaier Manufacturing Macedonia DOOEL. This company had 6213 employees at the end of 2022. The third place in the last 5 years belongs to the state-owned AD ESM, which employs 4258 people.
