Triglav Insurance is the largest insurance company in the past 11 years
The largest insurance company in Macedonia has existed since 1968 as part of the Property and Personal Insurance Office of Yugoslavia, and with several transformations over the years it officially became part of the Triglav group in 2007.
Triglav Insurance initially included non-life insurance in its services, and in 2019 it also established the life insurance company known as Triglav Insurance Life AD.
With a gross written premium of MKD 1.52 billion, Triglav Insurance retained the first place in the ranking list of the largest, as in the previous 11 years. The year 2022 was marked by an increase in the gross policy premium of 13.9%, while the profit before tax increased by 42% compared to the previous year and amounted to MKD 47.7 million.
This profit ranked the company in 7th place in terms of performance, while if we look only at non-life companies, then Triglav is in 5th place in terms of performance.
We also note significant successes with the life insurance company, where the gross policy premium increased by a whopping 215.9% in 2021 and as much as 84.2% in 2022. In 2022, the absolute amount of was MKD 367.4 million, while the realized profit was MKD 2 million.
From the data available to 200 LARGEST AND SUCCESSFUL, Triglav Insurance employs 215 people in the past year, and Triglav Insurance Life employs 44 people.
