Environmental pollution has been a hot topic in the past few years, and many Macedonian production facilities and factories are taking measures to reduce emissions of harmful gases and contribute to greater environmental protection.
KONTI HYDROPLAST is a Gevgelija-based company for the production of PE (polyethylene) and PP (polypropylene) hoses and pipes, which for many years has been a member of the family of 200 LARGEST AND SUCCESSFUL companies in North Macedonia.

It is an export-oriented company, which places around 95 % of its production on international markets, and which is also one of the largest Macedonian export-oriented companies founded with entirely domestic capital.
But, in addition to striving to be a leader in the Region in its business, constantly investing in new technologies and launching new high-quality products that are competitive on international markets, this company has for years strived to be a "green" company that takes special care of environmental protection and the safety of its employees.
KONTI HIDROPLAST products have received all the major EU certificates, thanks to which they are competitive on the international market, and the so-called DEP – Environmental Product Declarations for the main product groups are also very important.
The Ecological Product Declaration (EPD) is an independently verified and registered document .
It provides transparent and comparable data on the environmental impact of a product throughout its entire life cycle — from raw material extraction, production, transport and installation, to use and end-of-life.
"These declarations have been developed in accordance with the international standards ISO 14025, ISO 14040 and ISO 14044, and have been verified by an independent third party to ensure their accuracy, credibility and compliance with global requirements."
The implementation of DEP represents a significant step towards aligning our production with modern requirements for sustainable construction, especially in markets where high environmental standards are applied.
By measuring and analyzing the environmental impact of our products, these declarations help us reduce our environmental footprint, reduce CO₂ emissions, and optimize our production and supply chains.
"We believe that DEP not only provides our partners and customers with verified and transparent data, but also actively contributes to creating a sustainable and greener future for all," the company emphasizes.

In addition to providing key certifications for its products, KONTI HIDROPLAST also makes other efforts to preserve the environment and justify its status as a "green" company.
In addition to these efforts, there are investments in the use of renewable energy sources, improving waste management and introducing energy-efficient technologies.
The company is implementing an energy efficiency project in its operations, supported by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, or WebSEFF, whose main goal is to minimize electricity consumption.
This was achieved by renewing and replacing energy-inefficient production machinery, which enabled the company to make energy savings of 42.42 %.
It is clear that by reducing electricity consumption, the company will further increase its efficiency and productivity in operations, but at the same time contribute to preserving the environment.

KONTI HIDROPLAST, as a company that has been present in the family of the largest and most successful companies in our country for many years, is a true example of the fact that investing in environmental protection is not something that is just imposed, but also becomes necessary.
Increasing energy efficiency and environmental safety certificates not only establish the company as socially responsible, they are also a key factor that helps it ensure greater competitiveness in the market.
Certificates mean safety and assurance of quality, and energy efficiency contributes to competitive product prices.
Therefore, it is not surprising at all that this Gevgelija company has only grown and developed over the years and has greatly contributed to the development of the Macedonian economy.
In 2023, the company achieved total revenue of 3,220,621,701 denars and profit before tax of 562,566,221 denars.
In percentage terms, although in 2023, the company recorded a decline in revenue of 4.46 % , the growth in profit before tax , compared to the previous year, 2022, was 9.70 %.
The company ranked 89th on the ranking list of the largest and 31st on the ranking list of the most successful companies in our country.
