Ramstore: Two decades of presence and a significant role in Macedonian retail

In a sector where competition is intense and consumer habits are constantly changing, long-term success often depends on a company's ability to build consumer trust, a stable network of sales locations, and continuously adapt to market needs.

According to the data from the edition 200 Largest and Most Successful Companies in Macedonia 202 5 , based on the financial results for 2024, RAMSTORE Macedonia achieved a revenue of 3.94 billion denars and is ranked 75th among the largest companies in the country. Profit before tax is 56.5 million denars. Although not among the most profitable companies, the company remains one of the recognizable players in Macedonian retail.

Ramstore has been present on the Macedonian market since 2005 and today has a network of 27 supermarkets in eight cities across the country, as well as an online store, which positions it among the larger organized retail chains in the country. The company employs around 750 people and continuously invests in the development of its sales network and services to consumers.

In addition to its core trading activity, Ramstore has been developing activities aimed at supporting the local economy and sustainable development in recent years. One example is the organization of the "Taste of Macedonia" fair, through which dozens of small and medium-sized producers from rural areas are given the opportunity to present their products to a wider audience and make new business contacts.

In terms of food quality and safety, the company applies policies for responsible sourcing and cooperation with suppliers that meet international safety and quality standards. Systematic controls and audits of suppliers are part of a broader strategy to ensure safety and consumer confidence.

Additionally, through activities such as eco-masquerade balls and events organized on the occasion of Earth Day, Ramstore also works to raise environmental awareness among the youngest generations, in collaboration with partners from the public and private sectors.

The example of Ramstore shows that in modern retail, financial results are only part of the story. Equally important are a stable presence in the market, support for local producers, product safety and the company's ability to remain a relevant part of consumers' everyday lives.
