The first company, the foreign investment Johnson Matthey DOOEL, which opened the factory for production of parts and accessories for motor vehicles in Skopje, is, as expected, the largest exporter with as much as 99% of its revenues generated from sales on the foreign market. Furthermore, second on the list of the largest exporters is OKTA AD whose activity is wholesale trade in fuels. Here, the role of exports is significantly smaller and is 25.5%. OKTA AD is part of one of the largest groups in the energy sector - Helleniq Energy.

The table shows us that most of these companies are either foreign direct investments or companies whose majority owner is a foreign company. Hence the fact that most of their total income is from sales on the foreign market, especially when it comes to foreign direct investments. Another one of the direct foreign investments is Kromberg & Schubert Makedonija Bt DOOEL located in Bitola, whose exports comprise as much as 98.4% of total revenues. It is followed by GEN-I Prodazba na energija with 62.7% revenues from sales on the foreign market. The main activity of GEN-I is electricity trade.

In the 5th place as the largest exporter was MAKSTIL AD, a steel casting company that sells its products on foreign markets to the extent of 88.6%.

The only domestic company that is part of the 10 largest exporters is IGM Trade DOO from Kavadarci. The company has achieved revenues of MKD 9.8 billion, of which 85.1% or MKD 8.3 billion are from sales abroad.
